If you are new to working with Step Ahead Web and choosing to hire us to help your business with a new website, enhancements to an existing website, or SEO (search engine optimization) to drive additional visitor traffic to your website via the major search engines such as Google, etc., you’ll love the fact that we offer a 30-day money-back satisfaction guarantee.

 

You can get started with us and enjoy a full month to evaluate our professional services. If you’re not 100% happy then we’re not happy. We want you to be 100% satisfied with every aspect of our work.

 

If you’re not completely happy we will either make things “perfect” or we will refund any payments you may have made to Step Ahead Web (for work that we have performed) during your first 30 days, guaranteed!!

 

Therefore, you can choose to hire and start working with Step Ahead Web without any concerns at all.

 

Some of our work and services involve monthly billing. The refund period is limited to the first 30 days after receiving any new service or the first 30-day period of any monthly subscription plan with Step Ahead Web. We do not refund any payments after 30 days. We only offer refunds on recurring billing amounts for the first 30-day period. Payments due or made to any 3rd party such as Google, Facebook, outside contractors, external service providers, etc., are non-refundable. Are Mobile / Responsive Website Designs included as part of all website development packages?

That’s a great question.

Answer:   Yes!

With approximately 50% (or more) of web traffic coming from mobile devices, what good would it be if your website wasn’t mobile friendly, meaning easily viewable from mobile phones (including mobile phones such as iPhones, Android, Google, etc.) as well as tablets (of all kinds).

Therefore every website designed by Step Ahead Web is built to be viewable on desktop computers and laptop computers (on any of the major browsers including Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Safari, Opera, and others), mobile phones, and tablets. This is included by us automatically!

Once we begin asking you to test your website on your preferred devices, you will be happy to know that we’ve already tested it on our end, so there won’t be any surprises or issues.

What is the expected turn around time for website updates after we've sent them to Step Ahead Web?

Website updates are made as soon as possible. Typically within just a few hours, depending upon the complexity of the required work. We do offer a couple of options.

 

OPTION 1:

 

Website updates can be expected to have been completed by Step Ahead Web and ready for review (by our clients) within a few hours to maybe 2 to 4 days on occasion, depending upon the required work, unless it is marked as urgent. (Urgent updates can often be done within a couple to a few hours (or less), again .. depending upon the complexity of the required work.)

 

The process looks like this:

 
  1. Our client completes our Step Ahead Web online website update form. The link to our online web form is provided to each client.
  2. Indicate (on the form) the level of urgency.
  3. The client can also attach images, photos, and documents (such as Microsoft Word, Google Docs, PDF documents, etc.) that will help us with the necessary website changes.
  4. The client, if they choose, can also provide any instructions or comments along with the website update form to help further explain what changes are needed.
  5. Lastly, the client may request a brief one-on-one Zoom video conference call if needed in order to discuss the changes being requested.

Our goal is to make it as easy as possible and efficient for our clients to request website updates.

 

OPTION 2:

 

Step Ahead Web provides our clients with an easy way to update their website on their own, if they choose. When a client makes changes to their website, on their own, the changes occur in just a few seconds to a few minutes.

 

Step Ahead Web will provide the necessary training through our online one-on-one Zoom video conference calls, at no additional cost. Our team loves to train and support our clients. Most of our clients really enjoy learning how to edit their own websites, even if it’s something they do occasionally.

Why are off-site website backups important?

Step Ahead Web creates multiple backups every day for all premium hosted website accounts. 

 

Beyond just creating multiple backups daily, it’s extremely important to store the backups in a location that is not on the same server as the website, and is typically referred to as “off-site” backups.

 

By storing the website backups “off-site” in a remote and secure storage system, clients, company owners, and other administrators can be given access to the backups via a private, password-protected, and secure link.

 

Here are some of the reasons why the use of “off-site” backups is highly recommended and considered extremely important from a security standpoint:

 
  1. It is possible that a website server that stores the website files, as well as the database, could go down for any number of reasons.
  2. If a website server were to become hacked, all of the files, as well as the database, could become compromised and/or lost.
  3. If a mistake is made while updating a website, important information could have been lost.
  4. If an error should occur, during a routine update of any website system (including plugins, etc.) the website could go down and lose data.
There are also other scenarios that could occur which may require a website to be restored from a backup.
 

So while backups alone are good.  Having “off-site” backups is a much, much, much better option. This also provides peace of mind and knowing that copies of the website (including the database) can be retrieved if needed.
